Gov't to Gradually Lift Certain Restrictions Starting from April 27

The Government of Georgia intends to gradually lift certain restrictions starting from April 27 throughout the extended period of the state of emergency, including the ban on driving private vehicles.

Prime Minister’s Spokesperson Irakli Chikovani said at a briefing at the government administration today.

“In light of a prolonged state of emergency, we will have the opportunity to ease some restrictions. From April 27, we will start easing some restrictions, including the ban on driving private vehicles,” he said.

The state of emergency in Georgia has been extended until May 22, while the ban on driving private vehicles has been extended until April 27.
