Self-employed Citizens to Receive GEL 300 as One-time Assistance
Self-employed citizens, after being identified, will receive GEL 300 as one-time assistance from the Georgian government.
The Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Gakharia stated about it during the presentation of the anti-crisis economic plan today.
"Of course, it is extremely difficult for the state to identify the sector of our citizens who were informally employed or considered self-employed because they are not registered in any of the official databases and sources. However, the state undertakes to provide one-time assistance to these people in the amount of 300 GEL through social assistance services and through the maximum simplification of their identification. The approximate budget of this event will be 75 000 000 GEL,” Gakharia said.
