Schools Will Remain Closed Until September

Schools will not reopen until September, announced Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia while presenting the anti-crisis economic plan today.

However, said Gakharia, the academic year will not be declared. A separate presentation shall be held to address issues pertaining to education, he added.

In line with the government's decree issued on March 23, all types of in-classroom learning, training, conferences and seminars are prohibited in Georgia to curb the spread of the virus. Only distance learning is allowed.
