Police Detect 85 New Violations of State of Emergency

85 new violations of the state of emergency were detected in the last 24 hours as a result of the monitoring carried out by law enforcers throughout the country.

65 citizens were fined for violating curfew countrywide last night.

“The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia continues working 24/7 to identify violators of the restrictions imposed within the framework of the curfew. In order to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the country, the police respond promptly to all violations. 65 citizens were fined for violating the curfew across the country last night”, the MIA said. 

Law enforcers also fined 20 people for transporting passengers and violating the traffic rules.

Violation of the state of emergency leads to administrative liability: individuals are fined GEL 3,000 and legal entities GEL 15,000.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs calls on citizens to obey the restrictions imposed within the framework of the state of emergency, otherwise, the measures provided by law will be applied.
