Tbilisi City Hall to Buy Bicycles as Alternative Transport
Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze says City Hall plans to buy bicycles, including three-wheeled bicycles, which will allow citizens to travel more comfortably and transport their children. The initiative will be implemented in the near future.
Kaladze also presented the service of electric scooters yesterday, on April 27, which, as announced by the City Hall, can become an alternative transport in Tbilisi.
"In the future, the City Hall plans to buy bicycles, including three-wheeled bicycles. Citizens, who want to travel more comfortably, will be able to transport their children by bicycle. We are going to buy such bicycles in the coming months. This project will be implemented immediately by the City Hall,” he said.
A few days ago, Tbilisi Mayor suggested establishing a new rule in terms of protecting the environment, in particular, banning private vehicles twice a week for maintaining good air quality in the city.
