Number of COVID-19 Cases Increases by 16, 207 Recover
In the past 24 hours, the number of cases of coronavirus infection in Georgia has increased by 16, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 582.
The number of patients who have recovered from the illness stands at 207.
5025 people are being kept in a 14-day mandatory quarantine and 540 are under observation in hospitals.
To date, 582 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in the country, while 207 patients have recovered and 7 have died.
The above means that there are 368 active cases in Georgia, i.e. people who have been diagnosed with the virus and are currently being treated.
Georgia reported a seventh coronavirus-related death yesterday. The infected person, an 83-year-old man, was being treated in the First University Clinic in Tbilisi. The deceased had a severe chronic illness along with coronavirus, in particular, Diabetes Mellitus, and he was one of the most seriously ill patients.
Georgia has separate data of Georgian citizens brought from abroad for medical treatment, and the number stands at 3.
