Coronavirus Death Toll Rises to 8 in Georgia

The eighth patient has died of coronavirus in Georgia, stopcov.ge reported on Saturday morning. 

Doctor of the First University Clinic, Lali Turdzeladze, said that the infected person, a 71-year-old woman from Marneuli municipality, had other chronic illnesses along with coronavirus, in particular, arterial hypertension, diabetes, general obesity, respiratory distress syndrome and pneumonia in severe form.

The total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus stands at 582 in Georgia, of which 207 have recovered and 8 have died. 

Currently, 5025 people are in quarantine and 540 people are under supervision at hospitals.
