PM Holds Working Meeting on Strategic Plan for Revival of Tourism Sector
The government is working intensively to develop a strategic plan for the revival of the tourism sector.
To this end, another working meeting was held in the Administration of the Government today under the leadership of Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia.
The head of government noted during the meeting that the opening of the economy and post-crisis management is becoming the government's top priority, adding that taking effective steps is of the utmost importance in order to ensure that the country finds its place in the global competition.
Giorgi Gakharia strongly emphasized the need to revive tourism – one of the most affected sectors and the driving force for the country's economy – in the shortest possible time.
The Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, the National Tourism Agency, and relevant agencies are actively working on the main points of the strategic plan and the steps to be taken in support of the sector, as per the prime minister's instructions.
