Body of Man Buried under Avalanche in Tusheti Recovered after 3-day Search

Rescuers have recovered the body of a man who went missing three days ago after an avalanche hit the Pshaveli-Omalo road in Tusheti region of Georgia, the Emergency Situation Management Service said on Friday.

5 groups of rescuers were working on the spot.

Two men were buried under snow and mud on Pshaveli-Omalo road on May 5.

Locals were able to pull one person alive from the avalanche, who was hospitalized with injuries to the head and eyes. 

The second man was missing until his body was recovered today.
