Talakvadze: If COVID-19 Cases Continue to Shrink, We Can Lift Restrictions Faster
“If the number of people infected with coronavirus continues to shrink, it will be a solid basis for speeding up the process of removing restrictions,” the Chair of Georgian Parliament, Archil Talakvadze stated at today’s sitting of the bureau.
"Fortunately, with the support of doctors, healthcare professionals, our community and the coordinated work of the government, the number of new cases of infection in recent days is already less than the number of recoveries. If this trend continues, we can accelerate the removal of restrictions,” he emphasized.
The Chair of the Georgian Parliament added that “Georgia was able to contain COVID-19 pandemic. The initial measures were timely. The infection was managed very effectively.”
Currently, there are 264 active cases of COVID-19 infection in Georgia.
11 people have died of the virus in the country.
