Coronavirus: Georgia Reports 18 New Cases, 6 Recoveries

In the past 24 hours, the number of coronavirus cases in Georgia has increased by 18, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 695.

Most of the new cases are from the Bolnisi municipality.  

Marina Ezugbaia, the Medical Director of the Infectious Diseases Hospital, said that 8 newly infected people are from Bolnisi district, 6 have been in contact with already detected cases, and 2 patients have been identified in quarantine spaces.

The number of recovered patients has increased by 6 and reached 425.

3873 people are in a 14-day mandatory quarantine and 404 are under observation in hospitals.

12 people have died of the virus in the country.

Currently, there are 258 active cases in Georgia.
