Turkey Opens its Borders for Patients Seeking Treatment

Turkey has today reopened its borders for citizens of Georgia and 30 other countries seeking medical treatment there.

Turkey’s Health Ministry has issued acceptance conditions for patients, who are required to present a document confirming the absence of the coronavirus infection, and may be accompanied by no more than two persons.

After entering the country, the patients and their attendants will be directly taken to the hospital and will not be accommodated anywhere else.

Direct flights between Georgia and Turkey were suspended on March 21 in an effort to curb the spread of the coronavirus infection.
