UNICEF Georgia Praises Reforms Focused on Interests of Youth in Educational Field
UNICEF Representative in Georgia Ghassan Khalil has sent an open letter to the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Georgia Mikheil Chkhenkeli, in which he praised the reforms focused on the interests of children and youth in the field of education under the leadership of the Minister.
In the letter, Ghassan Khalil thanked Mikheil Chkhenkeli for the long-term fruitful cooperation between the Ministry and the United Nations Children's Fund, and congratulated him on the success of the Ministry's efforts to ensure a continuous education process during the pandemic.
"Mr. Minister, first of all, allow me to express my gratitude for the continuous and fruitful cooperation between the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Ministry and the United Nations Children's Fund. We highly appreciate your guidance in the reforms agenda in the field of education, which is focused on children and youth’s interests.
"Also, allow me to take the opportunity and sincerely congratulate you on the success of the Ministry under your leadership during the unprecedented crisis caused by COVID-19 in overcoming the challenges. Impressive is the use of various tools, steps to ensure continuous learning for students and the work done.
"I would like to once again express my respect and confirm the readiness of the United Nations Children's Fund to continue its support, " says the letter from the UNICEF Representative in Georgia.
