Restriction on Presence of no more than 3 People in Cars Lifted, Except Taxis

Restriction on the presence of no more than three people in private vehicles will be lifted from May 23, the date when the State of Emergency ends in Georgia, the Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia stated at today's meeting of the Interagency Coordinating Council working on coronavirus issues.

However, he added that the restriction remains in force in taxis, where the presence of more than three people is still prohibited.

"We have decided to extend the restriction on no more than three people in one car only in case of taxis and to lift it in case of all other vehicles," the head of the government said.
