Tbilisi Mayor: Public Transport Likely to Reopen in Early June

Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze today suggested that public transport will be reopened in early June. At the same time, he denied reports that public transport may be halted until July 15.

"This is false information. It is expected that public transport will be restored in early June.

"Today, a meeting of the Inter-Agency Coordination Council was held, where I personally raised the issue of public transport, as there is a great demand among society. We are waiting for instructions and we are fully prepared. I am well aware of the current epidemiological situation, the need for caution, but when the decision is made, City Hall and the relevant services are in full readiness to provide public transport service to the population,” he explained.
