Intercity Transport to Reopen from June 8

Operation of intercity transport throughout Georgia will resume on June 8, Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia announced today.

He noted that these decisions were made in accordance with citizens' interests and added that from June 8, all kinds of services will be restored in restaurants. 

"From June 8, all kinds of services will be opened in restaurants. Also, hotels that are inspected by the relevant agencies of the Ministry of Health and have the appropriate permits, will be able to resume functioning. In addition, intercity transport will reopen. These steps have been taken, first of all, in accordance with our citizens' needs, taking into account their social and economic interests," Gakharia said.

As for municipal transport, it will reopen from May 29.
