Forensic Expert Electrocuted While Conducting Inspection Activities

A forensic expert was electrocuted while investigating a gas station located in Nutsubidze 3rd Plateau, on Amashukeli Street in Tbilisi, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) reported.

The forensic expert was injured and transferred to the Caucasus Medical Center.

At this stage, his condition is serious. He is being treated in the intensive care unit. 

An investigation is in progress under Article 240 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages breach of safety regulations during mining, construction or other works that results in less serious or serious bodily injury. 

A gas station exploded in Nutsubidze 3rd Plateau, on Amashukeli Street in Tbilisi late on the night of June 1.

The cause of the incident has not been specified yet.
