Kindzmarauli - This appellation controlled red is a naturally medium-sweet wine of origin. It is made of selected Saperavi grapes grown in the Kakheti region, in the Kindzmarauli micro-zone. It has a dark pomegranate color, is dominated by blackcurrant and blackberry tones and is distinguished by a harmonious taste.
Winery Mtevino, which is equipped to modern European standards, produces 10 varieties of wine, created using both European and Georgian traditional (Qvevri) methods.
Winery Mtevino offers a variety of culinary masterclasses to Georgian and foreign guests, teaching them how to prepare Georgian traditional dishes themselves.
Five modern hotel rooms have views over the vineyards and mountains, and each room comes
with all the amenities necessary to make your stay comfortable.
According to Mtevino founder Nika Zautashvili, Mtevino offers a medium-sized comfortable meeting room with the right equipment to accommodate 20-22 persons for business meetings. Mtevino is a perfect place for presentations, trainings, or other activities.
The beautiful village of Khashmi is the motherland of well-known and unique variety of wine- Saperavi Khashmi. The cultivation of vineyards in this area is connected to the nae of Queen Tamar, as it was on her order that the Davit Gareji priests started growing vine in this area. It is said that the local population quickly adopted vine growing and wine making methods, and produced high quality wine from Saperavi grapes.
Prior to Mtevino being constructed, and as a result of the company founder’s efforts, as well as of the uniqueness of the Khashmi micro-zone, the Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia added Saperavi Khashmi to the list of Origin Protected Georgian Wine Varieties. This achievement ensures the protection of this wine on the basis of all international agreements and conventions Georgia is a part of and has signed.
