Coronavirus: Georgia Reports 8 New Cases, 4 Recoveries

As of June 13, 8 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Georgia, bringing the total number to 851, stopcov.ge reports.

Marina Ezugbaia, the Medical Director of the Tbilisi Infectious Diseases Hospital, told reporters that 14 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours, of which 2 are medical workers, 5 are from the quarantine space and 1 is a truck driver, while the source of infection of 5 patients is unknown.

She added that the number of patients whose source of infection is unknown has increased to 10 in total. 

As for the recoveries, 5 more people have recovered from the virus, which brings the total number to 702.

3026 people are under a 14-day mandatory quarantine and 297 are under observation in hospitals.

13 people have died of the virus in the country. 

Currently, there are 136 active cases in Georgia.
