President Encourages Population to Travel in Georgia
The President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili has responded to the opening of local tourism, calling on the population to travel across the country and support the local tourism in this way.
She addressed citizens from the village of Lamiskana, Shida Kartli region of Georgia.
"Today is June 15. Domestic tourism has been opened in Georgia today. I want to start traveling to Georgia together with you. Let's discover a different kind of Georgia, places that may be less known, and let's all understand that we have so many places that are really worth discovering," she noted.
The President is going to visit Guria, Samegrelo and Adjara regions, several resorts and protected areas in order to support local tourism.
