Ukraine's First Lady, Infected with Coronavirus, Hospitalized
The wife of Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskiy has been hospitalized with double-sided pneumonia after becoming infected with the new coronavirus, AP reports.
Zelenskiy’s office said in a statement Tuesday that Olena Zelenska’s condition was stable and the President himself and the couple’s children had tested negative for the virus.
Zelenska, 42, said on Friday she had tested positive for the new coronavirus amid a rise in infections.
On Thursday, Ukrainian authorities said there had been an "alarming" rise in coronavirus cases after the country eased lockdown restrictions.
