Tbilisi Won't be Closing on June 20

The Government of Georgia has denied the rumors about closing Tbilisi for a second time on June 20.

“The current situation in relation to the pandemic in the country does not give us any reason to close down Tbilisi or any other city,” reads the statement published by the Government Stratcom.

The Georgian government has said that the information of closing down Tbilisi is false and those who started the dissemination of the information aim to have the society live in a lie.

For the past few days, it has been speculated that entering and leaving the capital would be restricted from June 20. The media especially focused on spreading the word about it on Tuesday.
