Georgia's Ambassador to Kazakhstan Tests Positive for Coronavirus

Zurab Abashidze, Ambassador of Georgia to Kazakhstan, has tested positive for the new coronavirus.

The above was confirmed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.

The ambassador is currently undergoing treatment in Kazakhstan.

"He is undergoing treatment under the supervision of relevant specialists of Kazakhstan and Georgian doctors are in constant contact with them," note the representatives of the Ministry. 

Zurab Abashidze was approved by the President in 2017 as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of Kazakhstan.
