15th Patient Dies of Coronavirus in Georgia

A 15th patient has died of coronavirus in Georgia.

Amiran Gamkrelidze, Director of the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health, said the deceased was an 82-year-old Georgian man who entered Georgia from one of the neighboring countries.

The Director of the NCDC also stated that the deceased was in severe condition from the beginning and had concomitant diseases. He had been connected to a ventilator for the past two weeks.

As for the general COVID-19 data in the country, 3 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed during the last 24 hours, bringing the total number to 924.

4 more people have recovered from the virus, which brings the total number of recovered patients to 785.

2819 people are under a 14-day mandatory quarantine and 230 are under observation in hospitals.

15 people have died of the virus in the country. 

Currently, there are 124 active cases in Georgia.
