Coronavirus: Georgia Reports 8 New Cases, 23 Recoveries

8 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Georgia during the last 24 hours, bringing the total number to 939.

Marina Ezugbaia, the Medical Director of the Tbilisi Infectious Diseases Hospital, told reporters on Thursday that 7 out of 8 newly detected cases are imported, while 1 patient is the contact of a previously infected person. 

The number of recoveries has increased by 23, reaching 817.

3080 people are under a 14-day mandatory quarantine while 242 are under observation in hospitals.

15 people have died of the virus in the country. 

Currently, there are 107 active cases in Georgia.
