PM: Land Borders are Not Planned to be Fully Opened Yet

Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Gakharia says land borders are not planned to be fully opened yet.

The PM noted that the government cannot make hasty decisions regarding the opening of borders.

"We will not take any hasty steps to open the land borders. Movement of Georgian citizens and transportation of goods is absolutely not problematic today. We provide comfortable conditions for international companies, carrier companies. We monitor the health of each truck driver when they have to stay in the country. Control is quite effective, but we do not plan to fully open land borders yet,” the head of the government said.
