Forest Fire Breaks Out in Mestia Municipality

Firefighters of the Emergency Management Service are trying to extinguish a forest fire near Khaishi village in Mestia municipality, in the Svaneti region of western Georgia.

As reported by the Agency, 20 local firefighters are working on the scene.

A helicopter of the MIA Border Police has also been involved in the fire elimination works.

At the moment, firefighting operations are actively being carried out on the spot.
