Negotiations Underway with Int'l Airlines to Resume Regular Flights to 5 EU Countries

“Negotiations are underway with international airlines to resume regular flights to 5 EU Countries allowed to enter Georgia without any conditions,” the Prime Minister’s Adviser Irakli Chikovani announced today.

He noted that an agreement has been reached with Lufthansa, the largest German airline, to carry out two flights a week to Munich from August 2020.

PM’s adviser added that the negotiations on carrying out direct flights are underway with AirBaltic and AirFrance.

The Georgian government has decided to open its borders with Germany, France, Latvia, Lietuva and Estonia.

Before crossing the Georgian border, citizens/residents of these countries must fill in special electronic applications available on the website www.StopCoV.ge in which they should provide the information about travel history in the past two weeks, contact information and the location they plan to stay in Georgia.
