Coronavirus: Georgia Reports 9 New Cases, All Imported
As of July 13, 9 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Georgia, bringing the total number to 995.
Marina Ezugbaia, the Medical Director of the Infectious Diseases Hospital, stated that all the new cases are imported, while 5 of the 9 newly infected patients are truck drivers.
“All of them are imported cases. Everyone was diagnosed in a quarantine space. 5 out of 9 of these are truck drivers,” she said.
The number of recoveries stands at 857.
5001 people are under a 14-day mandatory quarantine and 219 are under observation in hospitals.
15 people have died of the virus in the country.
31 citizens of Georgia have been brought from abroad for treatment, including 28 Georgian soldiers who are participating in the NATO Resolute Support Mission on a rotational basis in Afghanistan.
