10 More Georgian Soldiers Test Positive for Coronavirus in Afghanistan
10 more Georgian soldiers serving in Afghanistan have tested positive for the new coronavirus, the Ministry of Defense reports.
Reportedly, the 10 soldiers who are participating in the NATO Resolute Support Mission on a rotational basis in Afghanistan tested positive for the virus together with 28 other servicemen.
They were transported back to Georgia with the help of German Air Forces today.
The transfer of the infected servicemen was carried out in two stages, on July 10 and today, July 17.
"Out of 28 military servicemen transferred on July 10, 8 have already recovered and BEEN discharged. The health of other servicemen is satisfactory," says the Ministry.
