Italian Ambassador: I Feel Safe in Georgia
“I assess the situation in Georgia positively, the Government of Georgia worked well to keep the situation under control,” said the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to Georgia Enrico Valvo on Monday night, while talking to reporters about how Georgia is handling the pandemic.
Ambassador Valvo talked about the conditions of visiting Georgia and Italy at the time of the coronavirus pandemic, saying that, while everything is not as it used to be, “we are on our way to normalization.”
“I personally feel safe in Georgia. As you know, Italy has opened its borders for the citizens of Georgia. However, they will be required to go through 14-day quarantine when they enter Italy. The same thing will happen when an Italian arrives in Georgia. I think not everything is great currently and this is connected to the public health situation, but we are on our way to normalization,” stated the Italian Ambassador.
