GNTA Head: Tourists Arriving from Munich, Paris Entered Georgia without Quarantine
The Head of the Georgian National Tourism Administration, Mariam Kvrivishvili, stated that the tourists who arrived on flights from Munich and Paris entered Georgia without need of quarantine.
She noted after the meeting of the Interagency Coordination Council that these flights also brought Georgian citizens with dual citizenship to the country without quarantine.
"We are pleased that our partner international airlines are returning to our country's aviation and tourism industry, operating regular flights. The Paris flight was performed yesterday. There were 188 people on board, the vast majority of whom are tourists. Naturally, they left the airport without quarantine and are now traveling around Georgia. The same principle applied to the Munich flight, where the vast majority of passengers are also tourists," said Kvrivishvili.
The Georgian government decided to open borders without any conditions to those 5 countries which likewise opened their borders to Georgia unconditionally. The list of countries includes Germany, France, Latvia, Lietuva and Estonia. Citizens of the mentioned countries are able to arrive in Georgia only through direct flights.
