MIA: 38 Villages, 7 Rivers Inspected as Part of Search Activities of Missing Minor
Rescuers have inspected 38 villages and 7 rivers as part of the search activities for Ilia Pilpani, a 13-year-old teenager who disappeared from the village of Lenjeri in Mestia Municipality, Svaneti region, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports.
Search activities are being run by the rescuers in Svaneti and on the Black Sea coastline. Photos of a missing teenager have been sent to all sub-units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs across the country.
Ilia Pilpani left his home in Svaneti on a bicycle on July 18. Since his disappearance, fire-rescuers have inspected 38 villages and the surrounding areas.
Seven rivers have also been checked, including river beds and the adjacent banks.
Search activities are also underway on the Enguri River and the Enguri Dam.
Reportedly, the teenager argued with family members right before his disappearance.
The investigation into the teenager's disappearance was launched under Article 143, which envisages the unlawful deprivation of the liberty of a minor.
