State to Assist over 33 000 Socially Vulnerable Students

Students who are socially vulnerable (under 150,000 points) will have their 2020-2021 semester financed by the government, Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia announced at today's meeting of the Interagency Coordination Council.

He added that the government will pay a 1-year tuition fee to students in the same category who had their status suspended due to non-payment of the tuition fee.

The head of the government noted that more than 33,000 students will benefit from this assistance.

The above initiative aims to help Georgian youth through the economic crisis caused by the coronavirus.
