More than 500 People in Svaneti Moved to Quarantine Zones

A total of 518 people were transferred to quarantine zones arranged at hotels by the Georgian National Tourism Administration in connection with the increased COVID-19 cases detected in the Svaneti region.

Out of 518 citizens, 343 were placed in hotels in Mestia while 171 were transferred to quarantine zones in the Adjara region.

The Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development and the National Tourism Administration arranged quarantine zones in 20 hotels in Mestia Municipality.

Entry and exit to Mestia Municipality is restricted due to high epidemiological risk.

All citizens who leave Mestia are required to undergo mandatory quarantine.
