Coronavirus: Georgia Reports 23 New Cases, 17 Recoveries
As of August 14, 23 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Georgia, bringing the total number to 1306.
Marina Ezugbaia, the Medical Director of the Tbilisi Infectious Diseases Hospital, stated that of the 23 newly detected cases, 6 are from the village of Lenjeri, Georgia's Svaneti region, 11 are contacts of infected patients, 2 cases are imported (truck drivers), 1 is a medical staff, while the source of infection is unknown in 3 cases and research is underway.
The number of recoveries has increased by 17, reaching 1085.
7635 people are under a 14-day mandatory quarantine and 334 - under examination in hospitals.
17 people have died of the virus in the country.
41 citizens of Georgia have been transported to the country from abroad for treatment.
Currently, there are 204 active cases in Georgia.
