Int'l Virtual Conference 'Covid19 Impact on Civic and Youth Activism'
Hosted by the Center for Training and Consultancy (CTC), an international virtual conference titled ‘Covid19 impact on civic and youth activism’ will take place on September 2-3.
The remote event will be held under the scope of the Community Action Training – CAT Program, an educational program supporting emerging nonviolent civic movements campaigning for social transformation and social change.
The language of the conference is English. The event will involve the input of key-note speakers, live dialogue, and panel discussions. The virtual conference will focus on the common effects of the pandemic, and in particular it aims to explore the impact of COVID on civic and youth activism, especially in Europe, Eastern Partnership countries, and Central Asia. The key themes that will be addressed are as follows:
Tactics and strategies of nonviolent movements
Digital organizing and digital safety
Competence framework for activists
Women rights and gender equality
Climate change and environmental protection.
