Makho’s Marani in Village Vaio
The Keda Municipality, located in the middle of the Adjaristskali river basin, is an integral part of the beautiful region of Adjara. The municipality’s economic potential and breath-taking nature were often overlooked, but back in 2017, with the support of the EU ENPARD programme, CENN established a Local Action Group in the Keda Municipality and funded over 70 different projects in various fields including agriculture, tourism, culture, and education, among others. Over time, Georgia Today will be sharing stories about local businesses and recommending places to visit and stay for quality wine, eco-tours, and/or cultural and musical experiences.
Would you like an authentic Georgian experience? Then, you should try taking part in rtveli – the traditional Georgian rural harvest. Makho’s Marani in village Vaio offers just that opportunity!
Now included in the Wine Route, Makho’s Marani was founded 10 years ago. The winey spoils its guests with delicious local cuisine and natural high-quality wine. What makes Makho’s Marani particularly attractive to the holiday-makers is that it gives them the opportunity to take a part in rtveli (traditional rural harvest) and in master classes of the Georgian cuisine. Their cozy family hotel compliments the Vaio village experience.
