Positive Dynamics Observed in All 3 Patients Injured in Shatili Road Accident
The Director of the First University Clinic of Tbilisi, Levan Ratiani, says that positive dynamics can be seen in all three patients injured in the car accident on Shatili Road.
Ratiani explains that all remain on artificial respiration, although their hemodynamics are more stable than they were a few hours ago, which gives doctors hope that patients will begin to recover.
"They are in the intensive care unit at this stage, their average age is 25 years. At this point, their condition is showing positive dynamics. Their hemodynamics are more stable than they were a few hours ago. Also, the signs of life have emerged. I hope that these patients will start recovering. At this stage, no medical intervention is being carried out, every minute is monitored and the medical staff is doing everything to save their lives," he told Imedi TV.
17 people died and 3 were seriously injured as a result of the tragic incident that took place on Sunday evening near Biso in the Dusheti Municipality. A passenger minibus fell over a rocky slope, from a height of approximately 80 meters.
In honor of the memory of those killed in the accident on Shatili Road, August 25 has been declared a day of mourning in Georgia by a government decree.
