Parliament Speaker in Self-isolation as His Bodyguard Tests Positive for COVID-19

A personal security guard of the Chairman of the Parliament Archil Talakvadze has tested positive for coronavirus, said the Press Service of the Parliament.

In accordance with the security protocol, among other persons, the Speaker of the Parliament and his family members also underwent PCR testing.

"None of them has tested positive for the virus. Although the test results are negative, in accordance with epidemiological safety rules, Archil Talakvadze has moved to self-isolation", reads the statement.
