Of 20 New Coronavirus Cases, 1 Medical Staff, Source of 4 Being Established
Marina Ezugbaia, the Medical Director of the Tbilisi Infectious Diseases Hospital, has clarified details of the sources of 20 new coronavirus cases detected in Georgia today.
In her words, of the 20 cases, 1 is a medical staff, while the source of 4 cases is being established.
"Today, we have 20 new and 1568 confirmed cases in the country so far. Of these 20 patients, 8 are contacts of infected individuals, 1 is medical staff, 7 are imported cases, of which 4 are truck drivers, while the source of 4 cases is being established.
"Only 9 people recovered. The recovery rate is still 81.6%. 262 active patients infected with coronavirus are being treated in 'COVID Centers' throughout Georgia," she said.
20 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Georgia during the last 24 hours, bringing the total number to 1568.
