Explosion at Tbilisi Concert Hall Kills One, Injures 3

An explosion near the Tbilisi Concert Hall has killed one and left 3 others injured. The injured have been hospitalized and one of them is undergoing surgery. 

The explosion occurred today, at 4:20 p.m., at the Dejavu Birthday Club. 

Based on the preliminary reports, rehabilitation works were underway at Dejavu when an oxygen tank blew up in the facility. However, official agencies have not yet commented on the reason behind the incident. 

Reportedly, 2 workers and 1 Dejavuu employee are injured. 

The investigation is underway into the fact of a breach of safety regulations during mining, construction or other works that result in death (Part 2 of Article 240 of the Criminal Code of Georgia).
