Gatherings in Outdoor Nightclubs Banned

In order to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus, gatherings have been banned in open space nightclubs.

"Such events carry the risk of the rapid spread of the virus," Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia stated at today's government meeting.

A similar ban was already in force indoors, however, starting today, it also applies to outdoor night clubs.

As of September 10, 57 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Georgia, bringing the total number to 1830.

Currently, there are 451 active cases in the country.
