Coronavirus: Of 165 New Cases, 109 Detected in Adjara

Of 165 new cases of coronavirus detected in Georgia today, 109 were reported in Adjara, Marina Ezugbaia, the Medical Director of the Tbilisi Infectious Diseases Hospital, told reporters on September 14. 

She explained that 4 out of 165 cases were imported.

"Out of 165 new coronavirus cases, 109 are linked to Adjara, 17 to Tbilisi, 9 to Zugdidi, 9 to Gardabani, 6 to Gori, 6 to Kakheti, 4 to Guria, 4 to Kutaisi, and one more to Mtskheta. Most of the cases are in Adjara, which is noteworthy and a lot of work is underway," she noted. 

As of September 14, 165 new cases of coronavirus have been detected in Georgia, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 2392.

The number of recoveries stands at 1369.

Currently, there are 1004 active cases in Georgia.
