Coronavirus: Of 182 New Cases,129 Recorded in Adjara

Marina Ezugbaia, the Medical Director of the Infectious Diseases Hospital, told reporters that of 182 new cases of coronavirus detected in Georgia on September 18, 129 are related to the Adjara region, while 34 cases have been reported in Tbilisi.

"182 new cases were confirmed, and the total number now amounts to 3119. Of the new 182 cases, 129 were detected in Adjara. There are 34 confirmed cases in Tbilisi, 11 in Imereti, 4 in Kvemo Kartli-Rustavi, 3 in Guria, and 1 in Kakheti.

"13 patients have recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, increasing the total number of recoveries to 1435.

"There are 11 critically ill patients, while the condition of 75 individuals remains serious," she explained. 

Currently, there are 1665 active cases in the country.
