Georgian Entrepreneurs to be Trained in Germany
A delegation from Germany is visiting Georgia to improve the quality of entrepreneurship. The delegation will select managers and marketing representatives to train in Germany.
The visit is part of the Managers Qualification Programs, in which delegations from the Society for International Cooperation of Germany (GIZ) and the Ministry of Economy and Energy of Germany, are visiting Georgia from December 7-9.
The five German experts will hold workshops on tourism and agriculture. Among the experts is a representative of the Frankfurt Book Fair, who will dedicate his workshop on engaging Georgian publishers with the Book Fair. Georgia is to participate in the 2018 fair.
The program also includes a visit to the Wine Laboratory and other institutions.
The German Embassy in Georgia said the program will continue for the next two years. Georgian managers will have an opportunity to get acquainted with modern trends in Germany and establish relations with German business partners.
“The Managers Training Program is mainly intended for small and medium businesses, which are interested in economic cooperation with German firms. The program prepares business management personnel, who will establish cooperation with German companies,” the press release stated.
From December 7th till 11th, eight Georgian representatives will travel to Germany studying creative business potentials. The initiative was started by Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Germany.
The program is implemented by the GIZ and the Entrepreneurship Development Agency of Georgia.
