Tribuna.uz: Well-known Footballer Shota Arveladze Infected with COVID-19

Well-known former Georgian professional footballer Shota Arveladze has tested positive for coronavirus, Tribuna.uz reports. The edition notes that Arveladze, who is the head coach of FC Pakhtakor Tashkent, will not be able to lead the team in the Asian Champions League match, which is to be held on September 23.

Based on media reports, Arveladze has been transferred to isolation.

Arveladze played at Dinamo Tbilisi, Trabzonspor, Ajax, Rangers, AZ and Levante.

He is Georgia’s all-time top scorer with 291 goals in his 410 league games for his clubs, and 26 goals in his 61 games for the national team.
