Public Transport to be in Stopped in Adjara, Restaurants Not to Work at Night

"Starting tomorrow, 10 PM, restaurants will not work in Adjara during evening hours, however, they will operate normally during the day: the restriction only applies to night hours," stated Natia Mezvrishvili, head of the government administration, at a briefing today, September 24. "Further, public transport will be completely halted in the Adjara region from tomorrow."

She added that the deadline for the restrictions will be specified based on the epidemiological situation.

The number of people infected with coronavirus has been increasing in Adjara since the beginning of September. There has been an increase in new cases in the region in recent days. 164 new cases were confirmed in Adjara today.
