Coronavirus: Georgia Reports 265 New Cases, 27th Death

As of September 25, 265 new cases of coronavirus have been detected in Georgia and the number of infected people has reached 4664.

Marina Endeladze, representative of the Infectious Diseases Hospital, stated that most of the newly confirmed cases of coronavirus, namely 165 cases, were detected in Adjara.

She added that the condition of 17 patients is critical.

"Currently, we have up to 3,000 active cases and 17 critical cases. Adjara is still leading in the number of cases by 165 new cases; Imereti 27; Kakheti 6; Tbilisi 43; Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti 6; Samtskhe-Javakheti 4; Kvemo Kartli 3; Shida Kartli 2,” said Endeladze.

The number of recoveries has increased by 54 to reach 1759.

Coronavirus has claimed the life of a 27th patient in the country. 

The patient was being treated at the Batumi Republican Hospital. The deceased was a 54-year-old man. He had 80% lung damage and other concomitant diseases.
