Another COVID Victim Dies in Batumi

Another patient has lost her life to coronavirus. The 60-year-old woman who died in Batumi Republican Hospital is Georgia’s 39th COVID victim.

On Wednesday, three patients died of the virus – one 60 and one 61-year-old women in Batumi, and a 69-year-old man in Kutaisi. The doctors say all three had serious medical preconditions.

The first COVID-related fatality in Georgia was detected on April 4. In April and May, a total of 12 patients died. Between 20-30 September, COVID-19 claimed twenty lives.

To date, 6192 individuals have tested COVID positive. 3120 patients have recovered, 5445 are quarantined.
